who we are:
CandleKrack is a candle company based in Los Angeles, California, operated by Nile Evans and his wife Julia Evans. He hones his creative inspiration from his work as a comedy writer/producer who has an undying affinity for sneaker culture, streetwear, pinterest, and his overall love of fly shit. She’s into philanthropy, social impact, community, politics, is a candle lover, two time cancer survivor, a published author and founder of the nonprofit Coloring Over Cancer.
what we do:
All of the candles and wax melts are 100% soy based, which burn cleaner than other wax based candles. We hand pour all of them in small batches to assure quality and consistency. Oh, and it's all eco-friendly, recyclable, and all that enviornmentally cool stuff too.
We're started off with these 6 scents, but as the seasons change so will the scents. We’re dedicated to introducing you to fun new scents and from time to time we’ll hit you with a new limited edition candle scent or co-brand collaboration to keep things fresh. We're a newer kid on the candle block, and plan on making our own way, which includes being fresh, a bit cheeky, and ever so cool at times. Hope you're okay with that.
To put it simply........We're a lifestyle brand....but more importantly we just make DOPE ASS CANDLES!
the name CANDLEKRACK:
The name Candle-"Krack" is not a drug reference, so please get that out of your head. Yes, the uncooked wax looks similar to "The Coco", and yes we do use a scale to measure it, and yes, I'm "360 with the wrist" and whipping up this work! Ayyyyeeee!.....okay, I digress. Honestly this "nose candy" has nothing at all to do with drugs. KRACK is just as much a drug reference as the word DOPE is nowadays. Hip-Hop culture, was known for taking something negative and making it positive. That's what we're doing here. Do I want you to get addicted to them???....YES!!!...but in the best way possible! Do I want you to pawn your Mama's DVD player to get another candle???..nah..well....no comment.
why I got into candles?:
For a couple of reasons. First off, they smell amazing. Second, I never get a bad reaction when giving someone a candle, let alone, one I made personally. A while back, a friend of mine made me a handmade candle as a gift and I thought it was dope that she had the ability to make something that smelled so good. Then one day I walked into a store to buy a candle and it dawned on me, that maybe instead of buying these, I should just learn how to make them. So, after many classes, workshops, and much trial and costly error, I finally made a batch of candles as gifts one Christmas, and the reaction was incredible. Everyone loved them, and I think the fact that I made them myself added to the delight of it all. (Because who knew I made candles) Then I heard the phrase from my younger cousin KyLee, that would take this venture to the next level.... "These candles are like Krack. Can you make me another one?". People asked for more...and then more... then requested different scents. If I could give them all away for free I would, which is why I'm not charging eleventy-hundred-million dollars a candle. I want them to be affordable and fun gifts for everyone to enjoy. Now stop reading all this and go buy some.
